Hello all, and welcome to my October update! Lol, I’m going to see if I can carve out one post a month. Maybe two! It depends on the gremlins though, lol.
But for now, shall we?
I had an awesome weekend at the Authors and Dancers Against Cancer event. There were so many amazing authors, and I have definitely added to my tbr by a large amount, lol. I was also lucky enough to win a drawing at the author get-together Saturday night, so I’ve got some new reads lined up, and I can’t wait! 😀
It was fun chatting with readers, and it really made my day when I got to talk to someone who had seen me at GalaxyCon. Thank you so much for coming by to say hello! 🙂
And I also want to say a sincere thank you to everyone who took one of my Book 1 babies home. It was going to break my heart if I had to throw any of them away, lol. I hope you fall in love with the world and characters, like I have as I’ve been writing. Just remember, there’s going to be some additional scenes added to the re-release. 😉

Speaking of which, now it’s time for the Tales of Ejoma re-release update! I may possibly have my hands on the finished book by the end of October! That’s a whole month sooner than I expected, and I’m so excited.
My editor and her team did a fabulous job the first time around, and they helped me dig even deeper this time. The biggest additions were to the first short story in the book, Beyond the Gate. I added a few characters to give the MFC, Shauna, more depth, especially since a friend pointed out to me that Shauna was the only human in the entire book and she seemed to poof out of the ether without any backstory, lol. Other than that, most of the changes in the rest of the book were adding a little more information here and there where needed, or altering certain wording for clarity. I’m so happy with the results, and I hope you are as well! 🙂

I also thought this might be an ideal time to start dropping the premise of Book 4. Title TBA. If you’ve read Books 1-3, you know about Darenai, and that he really had to be next in the series. And if you’re not familiar with Darenai yet:
**HERE ARE VERY MILD SPOILERS FOR ABOUT 4 PARAGRAPHS. READ AT YOUR DISCRETION, LOL.**
Darenai is usually such an easygoing guy, but he’s not super pleased to be floating around the human realm without a body. He does not recommend having your soul ripped out. According to him, it’s not fun.
After the events of The Blood Curse, Rae is understandably skittish around magic. Even when it’s used by her new shima friends, it makes her uneasy, and she’s been plagued by nightmares about her ordeal in The Blood Curse. Her injured mind has been healing, but it’s a slow process.
So, she’s more than a little concerned when she finds herself being haunted by one of the ghosts that resulted from the enemy’s clumsy handling of dark magic in the human town where she lives. Even more worrisome, is how comfortable she’s getting with her ghost. It’s to the point where she’s questioning her sanity, especially considering what she’s been through and that the ghost is undoubtedly connected to the magic running rampant in her small town.
For his part, Darenai was shocked to have been seen by Rae, even briefly, at the end of Legacy. He’s trying to recreate it so he can get a message to Ashriel about the bad guys, but so far he hasn’t been able to re-materialize or be heard by anyone. And even worse, he knows his soul has anchored to Rae, suspects he knows exactly why, and is afraid he’ll unintentionally start to draw from her life force if he doesn’t cross over to the afterlife.
**END OF VERY MILD SPOILERS.**
I may have some snippets to share soon. I’m officially on TikTok, and actually posting about my books. Lol, now I need to spread those posts to FB and Instagram, but that may take a bit. I’ll definitely get that soundtrack to Legacy out next. Then after that, I’m playing it by ear, lol. Carving out writing and posting time has been a challenge, but I’m ready to dive into it all!
I hope all is well with you! Until next time, Take Care and Happy Writing! 😀
