Frolicking in the Chaos

Hello all, and welcome back to what has unintentionally become an annual blog! Lol, God help me.

I have some fun updates for you, as well as some plans that I am going to force myself to partake in, although I shall be bad at them. So, what say you? Join me for another chaos dance to celebrate?

First things first – some updates! πŸ™‚

Life has been life-ing, and with that my usual levels of chaos have reached critical mass. I have 2 baby gremlins now, and they are both completely adorable and entirely feral. I’m pretty sure Jesus was like, “BOOM! Chaos!” Then He made jazz hands and moonwalked off stage right to watch what happens next with some popcorn. Lol, I would have it no other way though, honestly. They are feral gremlins, but they are MY feral gremlins, and I frickin adore them. ❀

Lol, there is a lot to the upkeep of feral gremlins, however, so my writing has fallen to the wayside until recently. Whilst I have been doing my damndest to avoid anything getting set on fire or being on a first name basis with our local ER staff, I have also been working on a thing: Tales of Ejoma.

Now, to those of you who know me, you may be saying, “But Paige, you’re working on Book 4 (title TBA). Why would you stop doing that to work on Tales of Ejoma, which is Book 1? That’s crazy person talk. Are you ok? Do you need an adult?”

In short – yes, because I had to, yes it is, nope, and yes I do. And snacks. I also need snacks.

With each book, I learn a bit more, and hopefully improve just a little as a writer. Over time, I have started to feel like Tales of Ejoma needs a makeover. There were some weak points that I couldn’t pinpoint after having stared at it for so long. A few friends offered to look at it with fresh eyes, gave me some tough love, and here we are: re-releasing Tales of Ejoma with a couple upgrades! Woo-hoo!

But here’s the thing. You know what I said, like, last year? About marketing? Yeah. It’s time. I’m about to put my awkward hermit self out there. For real this time though. I swear! One of my friends has threatened to come over and hold my Kindle hostage until I comply. Next will be my pumpkin spice. This is serious.

It’s perfect timing for me to get really uncomfy, actually, because I have a book event coming up! The first since Gremlin 2. If you happen to be in Perrysburg, Ohio in October, I shall be there too! What a coinkydink! I’ll be at a book event for Authors and Dancers Against Cancer. Woot! Come check it out! I may even have books to sell! Well, I definitely will, but will I have the upgraded Tales of Ejoma? Will I hit the deadline?

Lol…**CHAOS**

God. Help. Me.

I wonder sometimes why I insist on making things harder for myself. This is entirely self-imposed chaos. I just don’t think I could function any other way. If I ever fully have my life together, get your affairs in order. Hell has frozen over, and the end is nigh.

But let me promise you: if I have to ship the new and improved Tales of Ejoma out after the fact, I shall. And I’ll be handing out copies of the OG Tales of Ejoma for free, until I run out, as my way of balancing the chaos. Just know if you procure one of these, it’s pre-makover, and you’ll want to re-read the first short story in the collection, specifically, when I ship out the new one to you. Because….the following reasons… πŸ˜‰

In a miraculous act of God, I do actually have a plan for my series. Keep in mind that many people you see in passing as secondary characters will eventually do something later. Liiiiiike, have their own book perhaps. So, if that first short story in Tales of Ejoma just so happens to end up with a whole new secondary character **wink, wink** that wasn’t in the OG version **nudge, nudge** they may have been in my plan for later. **intense flailings of foreshadowing**

Let me know if the option to have the glowed-up Tales of Ejoma shipped to you would interest you, if for some reason my catastrophic time management means it’s not in my hands before October. I may be making one of those Google order forms. When I figure out how.

**MORE CHAOS**

Here’s the event info:

Check out the FB group here for more updates as we get closer to October, and to see the other amazing authors who are attending: Authors and Dancers Against Cancer

You can get tickets at Eventbrite, here: AADAC 2026

Now for the next order of business: Legacy (Book 3)

This was published right when I was deep in Gremlin 2 newborn land, so it was released to zero fanfare. No build up posts. No soundtrack listed. Sadness.

So as I’m prepping the beautification of Tales of Ejoma, I’ll be doing what I should have done, like, 2 whole years ago. Time for the Legacy soundtrack, and some hinting at Book 4! Woo-hoo! I may even throw in some movie reviews for funsies, if I have time and nothing is on fire. We shall see.

Now, time to go write something. ❀ Maaaaaaybe Book 4 related. Maybe some Legacy. Or maybe I will FINALLY get off my ass and get on BookTok. Mayhaps. If it happens, you’ll be the first to know. πŸ˜‰

Until next time, Take Care & Happy Writing! πŸ˜€
